If a citizen does not receive an answer, he/she should be entitled to ask the Public Defender of Rights (ombudsman) to order the public institution to provide the requested information. Ombudsman provides redress in a fast and effective manner. The dispute is solved online.
If an effective control of making available of information to the public by public institutions was introduced, for example, by the ombudsman, long-lasting disputes in terms of years about whether the public institution should have provided the requested information could be avoided.
