Next to the basic wage the only possibility of remuneration should be the promotion to a higher wage tariff. No extraordinary bonuses should be allowed.

The existing Act on civil service lists next to the classification under the different wage classes different types of bonuses for civil servants which can be granted cumulatively. It limits (i) the extra remuneration for the calendar year (max. 25% of the top wage tariff in the official in question is placed), (ii) the personal bonus (max. 100% within the given wage class) and (iii) the possible management bonus (max. 60 % within the given wage class) and and (iv) the special allowance (max. CZK 8 000 per month).

CZK 8 000 per month). However, the limits set out in the Act on civil service on special remunerations are being circumvented and, as demonstrated by certain statistical data, the Act on civil service has not been able to eliminate the previous habits of granting very high special remunerations with non-negligeable corruption potential to selected public officials.
