The existing Act on political parties as well as the proposal amending this Act, which is in the Upper Chamber of the Parliament, maintain the possibility of political parties to own or hold shareholding interests in legal persons so that non-transparent financing via this shareholding connection can take place. At least it is proposed for companies owned by political parties to have their financial accounts audited.
