Control of politicians — #15 Creating legislative trace from the records in the public electronic diary

Information from politicians’ electronic diaries related to law-making, executive decision-making, including meetings, time spent on the elaboration of laws or decisions etc., should be published as an attachment to the draft law or decision, and thus, generate so-called legislative or administrative footprint.

A detailed regulation of electronic public diaries of politicians is not currently foreseen. The scope and quality of published information contained in online public diaries of certain politicians who keep these diaries voluntarily is still rather rudimentary.

The solution is being discussed in the public

The Government Action plan on fighting corruption for 2016 indicates that during this year an expert committee will develop a background document outlining the options of the possible future regulation of lobbying in the Czech Republic.
