Should the state fail to provide the whistleblower sufficient physical and media protection, it has the duty to compensate any material and immaterial damage that occurs to him/her. The whistleblower shall also have the right to receive adequate financial compensation.
If the state had an obligation to compensate to the whistleblower material and immaterial damage which he/she suffered as result of corruption announcement, including financial compensation, it could recompense the whistleblower who by his/her acts in favour of the state risked his/her social and sometimes also physical existence.
